This way, the story can live on through different channels and reach larger audiences. For example, the movie “The Lego Movie” was created so that it could be turned into a toy line or video game and marketed through traditional advertising methods like TV commercials.

Another example of a mainstream media brand using transmedia storytelling is Pokemon, which has drawn fans into its own make-believe world with a combination of video games, card games, TV series and movies, providing an engaging combination of passive and interactive experiences.

Harry Potter is the highest level of transmedia storytelling. As you know it is broken down into books, films, video game, and websites.

A CAVEAT

However, this doesn’t mean you need to use it in that context. The bigger idea is creating your brand story so it can relate to your target and then building in organic additions that will help you monetize. This also resembles omnichannel marketing. Later this is anticipated to lead into a movie franchise, video game, Metaverse, and much more.

All of these elements are going to begin to guide us through the growth of the platform and our community.
