FULL VIDEO: “I Have A Dream” By Dr. Martin Luther King JR.
Here is the full speech in color to honor Dr Martin Luther King Jr. who helped improve all of humanity that took place on August 28, 1963.
I sit here writing this on a National Holiday that derived from this speech. I can’t even begin to imagine what the world was going through during this time. I love the freedom I have which we all sometimes take for granted. Though he was not the sole reason our generation is lucky to live in a time like this it is historically and globally understood that without this speech and his efforts, we could probably still be in a horrible world.
Over the past few years, there have been glimpses of that hatred but we all came together just like that period. I am grateful for everyone who stood up for equality.
This “I have A Dream” speech is also one of the catalysts that inspired me to create Nufero. I want to provide a conduit for free expression and knowledge towards happiness to be cultivated even further.
Enjoy this video below and also take a look some of the incredible changes that snowballed from this day.
Strides Towards Equality
Civil Rights Act of 1964
Dr. King’s dream began to materialize with the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This landmark legislation outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, marking a significant step towards dismantling systemic racism.
Voting Rights Act of 1965
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 followed suit, eliminating barriers to voting for African Americans and other marginalized communities. Dr. King’s tireless advocacy played a pivotal role in the realization of these crucial legislative victories.
Desegregation and Beyond
The fight against segregation in schools gained momentum, leading to the landmark case of Brown v. Board of Education in 1954. Over the years, schools, public spaces, and workplaces gradually desegregated, fostering a more inclusive society.
Progress in the Workplace
The concept of affirmative action emerged, aiming to address historical inequalities in employment. Companies began implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a more representative and equitable workforce.
Lets use this is a reminder and keep the energy alive and going. I love you all and follow your dreams.
